    Where do you stuck?
You must upload your Poi Files on the MyDrive Webside

On the device you can only create favorites (My Places) [the blue stars].
Adding to poi lists or creating poi lists in .ov2 format is not possible on the device.
See here how to add "MyPlaces"

    The 5150 is a Nav3 device and the go 6000 is a nav4 device.
The internal operating systems differ similarly to Win XP and Win 10

    I think it’s goodbye TomTom 6000
Oh and another point is the map colours on the 6000 are rubbish all roads are same colours and no poi’s on map while driving

    Welcome to the site....
    Marking & Saving a MyPlace....
Select the North-up Overview map screen by tapping the Chevron/Arrowhead above the + & - Buttons
Note... The Chevron/Arrowhead for the North-up Overview map is much Wider/Flatter than the Chevron/Arrowhead used for the Navigation screen

Pinch-Zoom the map screen for more detail/accuracy
To add a Location that's not your present location....
Long tap' (Tap & hold + 1 second) anywhere on the Map Screen... A quick menu opens --> Tap the 3Dot icon --> Choose 'Add to MyPlaces'... If required 'Edit' the MyPlace Name or simply Tap the 'Add' Button.....

Note... A 'Quick Tap' and 'Long Tap' of the screen will give different menu options....

The latests NAV4 or NAV5 (Wi-Fi) devices.... Installing 3rd party .Ov2 POI Categories... You use the MyDrive Web Route planner
    Here... https://mydrive.tomtom.com

See Tomtom Video... How to import POIs, GPX files and Favourites in MyDrive

Displaying Personal POIs on the Driving View/Map
Be aware... You can't install the POI associated .BMP files
You can only use the 5 Tomtom supplied generic Icons....

But you can use one icon for more than one POI category i.e... place all your fuel categories under one Icon, then if you tap on a nearby 'say' Fuel Icon a Quick menu opens --> Tap the 3Dot Icon for more options & more Information

Setup... After installing your Personal or 3rd party POIs.... Tap 4Dot (.... Menu) --> Settings --> Appearance --> Show POI lists on the Map
It says a restart is required, but I've never found it to be necessary
After choosing the Generic Icon… Tap the coloured (^) Icon screen top right... Pinch zoom the Map, the Generic POI Icons all appear live and working
Note... The Generic POI Icons disappear when the Map is highly zoomed out (I guess so you can scroll around a clear Map to find your location)
The Icon reappear as you zoom back in again

Here the Yellow Pentagon Icons --> National Trust

    Stay Safe... ATB YFM

    Thanks YamFazMan
Like I say YOU CANT add to the poi’s as you go along you can only add to my place rubbish....
So no you did not answer my question you only told me what I already know
And the map colours are rubbish too all the roads are same colours
Unlike the older and WAY BETTER TomTom (5150,, 7150,, and the old GO750) when you look at the the map it looks like a map ( road colours A road-red Motorways-Blie B roads - yellow and so on)
