Hi,

I have an old Renault Clio with a built in navigation system and I recently had to get a new SD card because the old one broke. I copied the old files to the new SD card and updated it but now I get an error saying 'cannot use this map - Benelux 204'. Is there any way to fix this?

Kind regards

    Hi @Martine3

Let’s see what @VikramK has to say. If possible he can reactivate the map. May be Monday now before he is back on the forum

    Hi there @Martine3

Welcome to the community! I've activated the old Benelux map for your device. Please remove the existing map first and download a fresh version offered as a download in TomTom HOME. Hope it helps!

Hi there, I have an old Renault Megane with a built-in navigation system with the same issue as above (corrupt SD card). I also tried to copy the files over to a new SD card but an error stating, "cannot use this map - Australia 204" appears on the map selection screen. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

    Cheers.

Thanks @DougLap and @VikramK for jumping in with the assist!

Connecting my SD card to the PC and loading TomTom Home, the auto-check for update fails to find anything new.
Where should I be heading to download the activated map?

    Hi @VikramK

Thanks for your ongoing support. I checked again for updates and there was something that came through (something about European maps??)
But alas, after installing the update, the screen on the nav still reads the same error message as before:

    Any other ideas?

    Hi @urbankling
Could that be the map you restored from an existing back-up?

I would suggest that you try the steps as below-

    1. Remove map

    https://help.tomtom.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360013901300

    2. Disconnect the device and reinstall TomTom HOME

This will require a clean uninstall so follow the detailed procedure from here- https://help.tomtom.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360013901520

Download a fresh version of TomTom HOME

    https://help.tomtom.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360013960739

    3. Connect the device and download a fresh map offered as an update-

    Hi @VikramK,

Yes I was previously using a map restored from a back-up. Clean installing the map update by first unloading the existing map solved the issue.
Thank you immensely for helping me out!

    Cheers!
