Why is the Android app so bad?

Crashes when there is a drop in signal, messes up going through certain average speed zones, strange routing, lack of pois which is extremely important for me, travel over 2k miles per month to many telecom sites.

Because it was launched before being fully tested and they use the customers as testers.

Try using POI Pocket (others are available) to manage POIs for any navigation app.

Most navigation apps will occasionally produce sub-optimal routing, TT GO is no worse than others I've used, much better than my car's built-in navigation (the one supplied by Audi/Vw/Skoda/Seat etc)

If the app crashes regularly, the usual advice offered here is to delete and reinstall, which to be fair, often works
