I have purchased a new map for my Boxer Tomtom Nav. I have downloaded Tomtom My drive connect onto my laptop. I have a USB stick ready. How do I get the map on to the USB and then load onto my Nav????
MyDrive Connect opens and asks to 'Add a Device'. Of course I do not have one as it is inbuilt in the vehicle. There is not even a 'Home' page to search. When I click on 'How to prepare a USB' - the system throughs out to the support page.
Hello beebird,
if you have a Peugeot Boxer, you have to go to the Peugeot website and go to after sales - map update - enter the VIN code (booklet) and from there you can download the map and also the navigator software (USB3 key minimum 16GB MAX 32GB) formatted in Fat 32 and load map and software. (First you update the licensed software, and then it installs), then you load the map and install it, you have to do it one at a time. Peugeot has not released maps for a year because I think they have problems.
I recommend that you go to see and register on a Peugeot forum in your country, there you will find all the information to update your Boxer (the maps are free)
Thank you Lepre so much for your in depth reply. I have contacted my local Peugeot dealer to see if they can help. The tomtom website/support page does not help and there is nowhere I can find the 'after sales - map update' page to put in my VIN code. The website has been out of action for three days so there is clearly a problem? I really appreciate your assistance.
Hello beebird,
I tried to look at Peugeot New Zealand, but I couldn't understand much, it's different from the Italian one. You need to hear from the dealer.
what i found for you is this link!
Is your Boxer new?
Hi Lepre ..... I think I need you in my every day life! Yes my Boxer is a 2020 and thanks for the links .... the App doesn't say if it looks after Tomtom as well but hey, I will try anything! THANK YOU!
Thanks Willy875. Yes it is exactly like that but the problem appears to be with Tomtom Home. I have downloaded the Tomtom connect software but the Home Page does not show. All I can get is this support page ........ oh ........... and a welcome to Tomtom and an offer to 'plug in my 'New Tomtom device' ........ aaarrrggghhhh!!!
Hello beebird,
in Europe Peugeot maps for navigators give them free (4 times a year), but for a year they have had problems with their systems, I think they will solve them soon! I recommend that you ask your dealer how it works in your geographic area. Let me know!
Hi Willy875. Thanks again - and this is the problem. I cannot download Tomtom Home page. When I download on the link you said above (or any Tomtom Home Link, it only downloads MyConnect and not the Tomtom Home page.
Hi Lepre. You are definitely right about them having problems with their systems! Downloading Tomtom Home page does not happen - I only get the MyConnect page with a note saying download successful and 'Add new devices by plugging in to download ..' which I cannot 'plug in' - and even when on a USB, the vehicle cannot locate anything on the USB via the Nav system. Off to a dealer I go ........ stand by for an update and ........ thanks for caring/trying!
Don't use TomTomMyConnect it wouldn't work with your Device.
Hope this helps...
Regards

P.S.:You have to be fast, because the Download-Website turns back to the common Community-Site in a very short Time. In my Opinion, every Time, TomTom update their Support/Community-Site-Software it becomes more and more unusable.
