Battery on TomTom GO 510

I have been informed by tom-tom support that the battery for my 510 is not replaceable yet they can repair the machine if I pay 105 euros for the repair or they can offer me a 25 % discount on a new machine.
Why am I finding lots of places on the internet selling replacement batteries for the 510 at 9.95 euros if they battery cannot be replaced?
Also Tomtoms offer of 25% discount on a machine that is less than five years old is a bit derisory when you look on the tom-tom website they are already offering a 18% discount on a new machine
Does anybody know if this battery is or is not replaceable?
