Re... 'The tick is grey on my start 25'
Some items are force ticked by Tomtom these items are Mandatory and cannot be deselected they MUST be installed before you can install the normal updates...
I always update my devices one Update at a time
The NavCore Application and QuickFixGPS updates are force ticked by Tomtom... Deselect any other updates like Maps, Speed Cams etc... Update the mandatory item/s first, when complete update the remaining items one at a time....
my serial no is BL i do update individually i usually receive gps updates every month or so but im getting updates every day and the gps signal is the worst its ever been,ive done a soft reset on my sat nav makes no difference
i also had lifetime maps im informed that my tomtom start25 has come to end of its life and i can no longer have map updates,my gps signal is worst its ever been and i apply the update for gps every day
As far as I recall... The QuickFixGPS file is issued daily but the contents of the file are good for the next 7 days.... I usually update the QuickFixGPS file weekly
Note... The Live devices update the QuickFixGPS file over the air but the contents of the file are good for the next 4 days....

Check the 1st 2 Characters of the serial number the Start 25 'BK' model is Eol....

For the first satellite fix after the 'Soft Reset'... Go outside with a clear view of the Sky
