TomTom GO Premium not giving voice instructions

Selected speaking voice is Kathy - she gave directions for the first trip after I received the device in October and since then has never spoken again. As far as I can tell the correct buttons to make sure she does speak are all checked. But silence every trip. Support tells me to do factory reset but then I will lose al the routes I have put in [as far as I know]. Also can anyone tell me the difference between My Drive and Tom Tom home - they both seem to do the same thing. Thanks

    Thanks very much - will try it out tomorrow when I am on the road. And thanks re info about Mydrive/TomTom - when i press the button for updates it tells me to connect to my computer - like you I thought it would do it wirelessly - I'll give it another go when new update comes along - maybe it was out of range of my router
