We are in the process of designating over 200 rural back roads as ‘Quiet Lanes’ across Suffolk, around 300km and would like to know how we can get a warning to drivers when they are entering one that they should expect and Respect other non motorists users on that stretch. A bit like a speed camera alert. Quiet lanes are an official road designation and covered in the Highway Code. The recent Highway Code hierarchy of safety is particularly relevant in these cases. Please advise how we’d need to go about getting this feature built in to satnav devices which would be particularly helpful for delivery drivers to get warned about on what might otherwise appear to be sleepy backwater lanes.
