Wi-Fi Authentication problem on Go Premium

Just bought Go Premium to replace my trusty Classic XXL that's no longer supported.
Cannot connect to my WiFi - just says 'Authentication problem' - am now at a loss how to deal with it, and at the moment wish I'd never bought it. As far as I can see, router fine, laptop fine.
Otherwise all OK so far - connected to phone on Bluetooth, but this is exasperating stumbling block!
Any suggestions?

    For starters is your Wifi set to 5ghz onl?. The Premium only works with 2.4ghz.

    Thanks for suggestion but it is indeed to set to 2.4ghz
