GO 1000 device won't connect to MyDrive

Hi guys,

A couple of weeks ago I bought a new car. A TomTom GO 1000 Live came with the car.
Now I want to update my TomTom, it got it's last update 3 years ago.
I downloaded MyDrive Connect to my laptop, created an account and signed in. Then I put my TomTom on the cable. MyDrive recognized the device right away. It asked me if I want to connect this device to my account because it was registered to a different account before. I clicked on ok, so I went true to the next page, where it says 'something went wrong, your device cannot get connected to your account right now. Try again later.'

I tried multiple times now and everytime the same thing happens.

Is there anyone here who knows how to fix this problem?

    Could you send me the serial number of your device through a private message, please?

    Steps to find the serial number-

    Main menu- Settings- Me and My Device- About My Device (The serial number should be 12 digits- alpha-numeric.)
