SuperuserHi @DaveHenderson
There are a couple of ways I can to do this using my Iphone.
Firstly using the Google Maps App. Using Search find the location you want and a Red Drop pin appears. If you Tap/press the red pin A sub menu appears headed Dropped Pin. If you scroll down the the sub menu you will find the Long/Lat . Press on the Long/Lat and Copy appears. Tap Copy.
I open the Tomtom My Drive App on my phone and press in search and Tap Paste when it appears. Unfortunately the Long/Lat is in Brackets but it you delete the brackets then My Drive will locate the position .
Secondly I also have the Mapcode App on my iPhone which produces codes for parking space size areas for any point in the world. If you open it and Tap Hybrid you get a map view like Google Earth. You can search for addresses including using Long/Lat and fine tune where the cursor is so that you could get a Mapcode for a parking bay in a car park. You can also input the Long/Lat by pasting it from Google earth if you want, you don't need to delete the brackets.. This will give you a Mapcode which you press on so it can be copied. I can input a Mapcode into the My Drive Apps Search and it will locate the precise point.
You can then send the Position or a route with stops to your GO Camper just as you can from the PC.
Re mapcodes if you go to Search in your GO Camper and input Mapcode DH.FX you will get a route to the middle gate at the front of Buckingham Palace. If the place is in a different country you need to have a Country code first ie GBR DH.FX
It seems complicated but after a little practice it is quite simple..

Welcome to the Site....
Maybe useful... This is the Workaround I use on my PC
Transfer the individual Google Map locations manually to the MDW Route planner
With Google Maps and the MyDrive Web Route planner both running
(1)... Type the location into the Google Maps Search Box and Right-click on the offered location marker and select 'What's here'
Or
(2)... Right-click on the Map at the required location and select 'What's here'
(3)... A small window opens at the bottom of the screen... Click on the displayed Coordinates... the Coordinates are now displayed in the normal Search Box
(4)... Copy the Coordinates & Paste them into the MyDrive Web Route planner (Press Enter on your Keyboard) the MDW Route planner will Zoom to the location....
Right-Click on the Icon to....
Send Destination
Add to MyPlaces
Use as Starting point
Plan Route
If you have a Route already planned....
Right-Click on the Icon to add a Stop
Stay Safe... ATB YFM
Thanks for the response, Ill have a look at it, I'm sure it'll be fine if I am planning at home.
My problem is that when I am touring in the motorhome I don't have a PC.
I use one or two Apps on my smart phone to find a suitable site to camp and currently with the Garmin I can transfer locations from the App to the Garmin. I would ideally like to do the same with my new Tomtom.
I don't like the Garmin generally but this feature is handy when you're out and about.
