I can no longer charge the GO5100 device, what now?

My GO5100 only boots up to the empty battery image. Then it stops, and I get a black screen. Have already tried to charge it via another cable, but the message remains the same. What now?.

    If you have not allready try charging it using an Apple iPhone or similar charger plug with the Tomtom USB cable for at least 2 hours. You can check on the unit to see if the unit is being charged.

    If that does not work it looks like the battery has failed. In that case you either seek a TT repair place or contact Tomtom Customer Support for a repair or look at TT battery Replacement GO5100 on Youtube and if you feel confident try it yourself at your own risk.. The Batteries and small tool kits are available via Amazon or Ebay.
