Hi @tedlondon
Try the following.
Turn both the phone and GO520 Off and On.
Go into Settings/Personal Hotspot and turn on the Personal Hotspot.
Go to Settings/Bluetooth and tun on Bluetooth.
Turn on the GO 520 and when ready go to Settings/Bluetooth. and Tap Add phone
Your GO520 should appear at the bottom of the iPhones Settings/Bluetooth and you need to Tap that.
You should then get a Box on both the iPhone and the GO 520 with a number in and a request to Pair.
Tap Pair in both boxes.
You will then get a box asking if you want your contact llist to be added to the GO520 as this is for the handsfree..
At no point will you be asked to input the password for the Personal Hotspot and it will not appear on the GO520 Settings/Wifi page as connected.
Whenever you need to link the GO520 to the iPhone you need to turn on Bluetooth and Personal Hotshot on the iphone before you turn the GO520 on.
With this set up Traffic etc and handsfree should work but Messaging will not. This is a result of the change that took place with issue of IOS13 and later updates which has prevented the My Drive App, needed for the messaging facility, working in conjunction with the Bluetooth setup. You do not need to have the My Drive App open whist you are connected to the GO520.

Thanks, but no. The videos seem to imply that the TomTom device will provide the PIN, but mine does not, so I have no idea what PIN to enter onto my iPhone. Frustrating.0

Unfortunately I don't have an iPhone, but if I remember correctly, there are two ways to pair the device.
- You can download the MyDrive app to your smartphone. To connect the device you can scan the QR code in the navigation device in the MyDrive app.
- Or old scool without the MyDrive App: In the navigation device menu, go to Menu/Settings/Bluetooth and tap on "Add Phone". When you see the QR Code let the iPhone search for bluetooth devices. Your satnav should now listed there. Select your device in your iphone an a Pin should be shown on your iPhone and the Go520
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you get it right0 -
I really appreciate your help. #2 is what I have been trying. When I select the device on my iPhone, my iPhone asks for a PIN and no PIN is shown on the iPhone or the TomTom.0

That worked! Not sure why I needed the mobile hotspot, but that did the trick. Thanks.0
