SuperuserHi @BICIGT
You have a problem with the Caps Lock key on your keyboard, it is stuck? It will be a good idea to unlock it for your future answers on this help forum between users...
In your Windows OS, is your graphics card driver up to date?
(Or the integrated graphics chipset used by your PC if you don't have a dedicated graphics card)
Maybe an OpenGL driver problem.
You can try this:
After update, uninstallMyDrive Connect (MDC) with your device Not connected to the PC.
- Uninstall MDC, accept the removal of downloads in the popup window.
- "Restart" your PC (Not Shut down or Sleep)
- Download and install the last version MDC, take it here on this page, at the bottom, the red button "Download for Windows*" (W7/8/10):
https://www.tomtom.com/en_gb/mydrive-connect/
Or here, direct link http://cdn.sa.services.tomtom.com/static/sa/Windows/InstallTomTomMyDriveConnect.exe
- In the popup window, keep ticked at least "Download updates on my computer (recommended)", this is essential, the two other choices are optional, I untick the both.
- Open MDC.
If this doesn't improve for display, still a black screen:
- Right-click on the MDC icon in the taskbar next to the clock, if necessary click on the symbol ^ to find the MDC icon, choose "Settings".
- Go to the "General" tab then click on "OpenGL Dynamic" in "Graphics mode" line.
1/ First in the list select "OpenGL Angle" then "Save Settings".
- MDC restart and should open with a correct display.
2/If it still does not work, you repeat the same process and choose "OpenGL Software" then "Save Settings".
- MDC restarts and a popup asks you if the display is correct or not.
- If you answer "No" here, the program should propose you to download and install another MDC version. It takes a little while, wait for the process to finish on its own.
