Speed cameras not showing and can not connect to phone via bluetooth
I'm having a problem with my Go620....I had a map update that went pear shaped and since then the speed cameras do not show up while driving. I have reset the tomtom, uninstalled and reinstalled the map to no avail...also I can't seem to connect from my iphone using the app via bluetooth (not sure if that's from the map update that stuffed up or not). I have uninstalled/reinstalled the app on my phone, which made no difference. The wifi connects ok, but it's annoying that I can't use any of the services via my phone using bluetooth.
Thanks,
John

SuperusersHi there Gorzzz -
Here is an excerpt posted by JURES (another forum contributor) as a temporary fix for iPhones using iOS 13+ operating systems end of January -
If you pair the gps with your iPhone without MyDrive app, traffic works flawlessly - perfectly!
You can even install the MyDrive app afterwards and use it for routing - but -
JUST DONT PAIR your gps with the MyDrive app!!!
Traffic will still work, MyDrive routing will work, the only thing that does not work will be smartphone features (calls/sms) but thats not important if using a motorbike.
Traffic and MyDrive under iOS 13+ works!!!!!
1. - Delete the MyDrive app on your iPhone
2. - Delete old Bluetooth pairings of the gps on your iPhone
3. - Connect the gps to your iPhone over Bluetooth under standard way
4. - Install the MyDrive app
5. - DO NOT pair your gps over the MyDrive app
6. - Have personal hotspot on iPhone turned ON just for *Bluetooth and USB Only*
- DO NOT pair gps with WiFi of this personal hotspot
TRAFFIC AND MYDRIVE WILL WORK NON STOP!!
Problem is in the MyDrive app (pairing through the app)

Additionally, also using the *Bluetooth and USB Only* pairing hotspot in your iPhone settings will be required for a stable connection and has less of a drain on your phone’s battery compared to the WiFi hotspot setting.
I am currently using my Rider 500, Sena 5s and iPhone 7 Plus this way successfully.
As JURES (the original contributor of this temporary fix) had explained, you can re-install the MyDrive app onto your phone, sign in to it and use it for routing to send to your devices, but just don’t pair the Bluetooth within the app to your gps.6 -

SuperuserHi @Gorzzz
As you have mentioned that you have an iPhone the reason the Bluetooth issue arises is the introduction of a security change in the IOS operating system with the introduction of IOS13. As a result the use of My Drive App as part of the Bluetooth pairing is no longer a working option and so is no part of the connection process when pairing or when connecting for Traffic etc..
So as @kieron / @jures have advised there is a change in the pairing process. So on your iPhone when Pairing the phone with the GO unit you need to turn On Personal Hotspot in Settings on your IPhone then with Bluetooth also turned on you can Pair the phone and the GO unit. As indicated do not involve the My Drive App in this process at any time.
Now whenever you wish to connect your iPhone to the GO unit for Traffic etc then you must have the Personal Hotspot setting On as well as the Bluetooth Setting on your Iphone. With this arrangement you should maintain a connection for Traffic and handsfree should also work. Messaging will not work as the involvement of the My Drive App was used to facilitate the messaging but that is now not possible.
Be aware you will not be asked at any stage to input the Password for your Personal Hotspot neither if you look in Wifi in Settings will you see the Personal Hotspot as connected to the GO units Wifi facility
.Regarding the My Drive App you can still use this for the creation of Routes and sending them or saving them in My Routes to be synced to the GO 620 as the My Drive Website on a PC does.
