How do I update 'my devices' in mydriveconnect?
I have added a new device, but I can't find how to remove an old one.

Hi all
@bemuzeduk
Only to complete @DougLap 's message.
Edit August 25, 2020: (false) If your PC is under a Windows OS, the Windows version of MyDrive Connect (MDC) has an option that the MAC OS version doesn't have.
If you want to personalize (Edite) the name of your TomTom device in MDC there is a possibility.
- Log into MDC with your email and password in the software.
- On the first screen, the "My Device" tab, click on the "pen next to the name of your device and type whatever you want.
- To validate click on the green "V". The result is always in uppercase.
- It's immediate and infinitely modifiable.
If you have a Wifi device, do not connect your device to the PC with its cable in order to have this tab. (Edit: not really sure)
This personalization does not appear in your TomTom customer account where your device is identified by its type and serial number.

Hi @bemuzeduk
When you open My Drive and select My Devices you should have a Dustbin icon at the bottom of w=each image which you can use to delete a unit from the Account.
Regarding updating unless the new item is a Wifi device then you select the unit in My Devices and it should show you any available updated.
If the new device is a Wifi device then you update it as follows:-

thanks Doug.
old item deleted!
when I said 'update', of course I meant to say 'edit'. My mistake sorry.
What I meant is can I edit the name of the device in my drive connect?0 -
Hi @bemuzeduk
Edited post
I have 4 TT devices on one account and I looked at using either a Win 10 PC or a MacBook Pro and in both cases I do not get an. option to change the Devices name but note Laure123 's comment that apparently you can with Nav 4 devices.

thanks Laurie, excellent advice.
Interesting that it works on my Go 6000, but not my Go 825.
I suppose I could remove it and add it again.

Hi @bemuzeduk
Thanks for your feedback. @DougLap was right.
I just did the test with my Start25 which is a NAV3 (3rd generation of TomTom devices) and it doesn't work either, no "pen" for a name edit.
So this option exists for the NAV4s (your GO6000, my GO5100) certainly also for the NAV5s (Wifi devices) but I do not have a Wifi device to do the test to verify, but Not for the NAV3s (your GO825, my Start25 ).
You can remove and add again your GO825 in your account but that will not change anything for this option. Link a device to a TomTom account can sometimes not be easy, I wouldn't recommend it just for a test.
I will edit my previous post which contains error for MDC on MAC OS.
thanks again.
