It is a bad display, if a factory reset does not work the watch is dead. TT does not offer a repair service and that product was discontinued years ago (TT Sports went out of business over 2.5 years ago). You need a new watch, there are plenty of brands out there with better feature sets for less money these days.
The watch is not dead. It is still working, but the LCD screen doesn't refresh properly. Just "warm" it around 40 degrees (Celsius), or over, and you will see the screen updating normally. It may be a bad LCD material o some degradation of LCD voltage driver circuit.

How do you propose to heat a watch to over 40C (104F) and keep it that way? Unless you live in the desert it will immediately cool down. Not really a fix, the watch is still defective.
