TOMTOM 6250 Professional SIM not working
My TOMTOM 6250 Professional (SN ZAxxxxxxxxx79) is not connecting through its internal SIM card.
I have already checked the private info settings, and made a full device reset (as per other posts here) and nothing worked.
Contacted support via email, who checked and confirmed the internal SIM is activated.
My other device is working fine (also a 6250) with another driver.
Can you please give me support?

Thank you in advanced.
Best regards,
RPhillip

Did you checke when you contacted Customer Support that you have an active Traffic Subscription. Also which country are you experiencing this problem in . Portugal should be okay.
Doug.
Thanks for the repply @DougLap .
I repplied on their answer, however I still do not have any answer. They are taking quite some time to repply...
Yes, Portugal should be ok. I will be driving back to Germany soon, therefore live traffic is really needed.

I just see there is a response on your ticket now. Probably it was after you posted here.
Thanks, Vikram
Yes, there is an answer on the ticket, but it was before I posted here.
After the answer on the ticket, live traffic still does not work.
The answer I have is just regarding the SIM being active.
It still pending a repply on further support. It still does not connect with internal SIM.
Could you check if traffic subscription is active?
Thank you in advanced.

Welcome to the site....
If you're in the Office or at Home and your device is connected to your Office/Home Wi-Fi
The Wi-Fi connection will be priority Data connection
Note.... It's the same when you are connected over USB & MyDrive....
The USB connection will be priority Data connection....
Check... Tap 4Dot (.... Menu) --> Setting --> System --> About....
Scroll down to 'Data Connection'....
____________________________
Try moving out of the Range of your Wi-Fi
Or
Logout of your Wi-Fi....
(You can't actually logout you can only 'Forget' the connection)
Tap 4Dot (.... Menu) --> Settings --> Wi-Fi
Tap on your Connected Wi-Fi
Tap (Modify) Icon
Tap (Forget) Icon
Tap (^) Icon Screen top right
To verify the Wi-Fi is OFF Tap 4Dot (.... Menu) screen top right Wi-Fi logo with an 'X'
To Reconnect to Wi-Fi.... For Updating etc....
Tap 4Dot (.... Menu) --> Settings --> Wi-Fi
Tap on your chosen Wi-Fi
Enter your Wi-Fi Password
Tap Done
Tap Connect
Unless you're using a personal My-Fi Hotspot in the car for your data connection, the only other reason for a live Wi-Fi connection is for updating the device... I turn off (Forget) Wi-Fi by default and only login for updates
Its no big deal for updates, you only have to enter your Wi-Fi password
Another benefit of logging out of Wi-Fi... I find the device is more stable and more responsive in general use when you 'Forget' the Wi-Fi connection
Stay Safe... ATB YFM
Don't find any issues with the subscriptions. Have sent a heads up to our customer service. They should be getting back on that case to offer further assistance.
Thanks, Vikram
Thank you for the post. Your information is long know. Unfortunately WiFi is the only way it can access traffic informaiton.
I have no WiFi LAN configured on this device so long this problem persists. To better understand if the problem is solved.
Thank you anyway.

Again... thank you for your support!

Could you check and compare both my 6250 Professional devices profiles.
It´s strange, on my 6250 SN ZAxxxxxxxxxxxx16 it shows:
On my 6250 ZAxxxxxxxxx79, it shows:
Could it be that the active "Life Time Speed Camera Updates Europe" and the expired "Speed Cameras - Global" are conflicting with one another?
Thank you in advanced.
Best regarfds,
RPhillip
Our team has done a quick refresh of the account on the servers, just do a soft reset on the device - Log-in again to TomTom Services
- Check the status again..
Let us know if you see any difference....
Thanks, Vikram
Thank you for your support.
I have done a soft reset and logged in TomTom services, unfortunately there is no change in the behaviour.
I´m back in Germany, and it still does not connect via the internal SIM. I can only get traffic information through WiFi, via my cellphone hotspot.
Also interesting is, it does not work also with My Drive app on my cellphone. It shows connection, but is unable to connect to "Data for Traffic & other services".
Hope there is a solution...
Thank you in advanced.

RPhillip
