Garmin have recently announced that from June 2021 they will be discontinuing their digital traffic due to the 'supplier discontinuing the service'
The supplier is Inrix which I believe also supply TT.
Does this affect TomTom traffic next year or is this just a problem between Garmin and Inrix ?

Inrix doesn't supply TT, does it?
No way it should affect TomTom as they would have notified us too.0 -
TT have an Inrix partnership reading online articles.
The reason TT traffic is better than Garmin is because Garmin use neat Inrix whilst TT add Vodaphone location and movement data which gives more accurate info.

Well, I am pretty sure TomTom will just switch to another provider.0

As that's gonna be a +1 in the list of Why to buy TomTom0

Exactly. If TT continue to provide their existing traffic in its current form then they will put Garmin into the shade.
Garmin are suggesting switching to their Smartlink traffic but that comes from viaMichelin and is absolute pants in my experience, plus you need to pair the device to your phone.
My phone pairs to the car and a second Bluetooth connection isn't possible.0 -
Panic over. After some research it looks like it's the Garmin DAB delivery service that is ending and not Inrix.0
