Following the recent news that Google’s Android Auto is opening up to navigation apps, we’re proud to share that we’re part of Google’s Early Access program. With new categories opening up including navigation, parking and electric vehicle charging, we’re aiming to bring our TomTom AmiGO application to beta testers by the end of the year. Yes I have this also, what does the trick for me is
    1) turn on radio
    2) set my phone full on, not in standby or locked
    3) connecting with usb cable
    You see the amigo app starting on your phone, when it doesn't do that, i have also black screen and error.
    Then it starts up, but I have random instructions, some are spoken some are not, there is no line in it, don't know why.
    Alerts however i have always get that spoken on my testing drives.

    I tried it for a ride (about 40 minutes) and no problem. Only a random shoutdown.

    I have no problem running the Beta on AA in VW, Works as expected. There are (I presume) some functionality limitations

    I wonder how they gonna look into it to fix it.

    Also make sure you have the battery settings for the app on "no restrictions"

    @Mwsdude @Megalos
    I'm checking what my have happened here. Could it be that you have skipped the last beta build and it got replaced with the production version with the latest build number?

    Actually, at the moment mine has a blue icon as well though the app listing in the Play Store states that I'm a beta tester. There it also states that future updates will include beta versions. Which will re-enable Android Auto.

    Thanks Jürgen. Same for me. Seems that non-beta build number is temporarily higher than beta-build, resulting in beta testers getting the non-beta version without Android Auto. Let's wait until the next beta build will be released indeed.

    Not sure what happened here since 7.428.0 should have gone to beta last Monday according to the correspondence I have. Next beta should be released soon.

    Hopefully we can include a fix to the black screen / spinning wheel upon start-up on Android Auto soon.
