How may I update the SD card that came as original equipment in our 2014 Mazda6. Highways and streets have changed. Can you please provide the step by step?

Goto TomTom Maps Shop and select In-Dash Navigation. Choose your desired map and buy it. Goto https://www.tomtom.com/en_gb/in-dash-navigation/mazda/ for guidance.

This help got me almost to the point of a purchase. HOWEVER, I just need to get a step closer and need more help please. ...
At tomtom.com/en_gb/sat-nav/maps-services/shop/travel-map/USA I am shown a box that should tell me if my devise is compatible. To use this aid I must "enter the first 2 characters of my serial number. Where do I find that serial number????
Understand please that I must download on to my original OEM SD card from the dash of my 2014 Mazda6. Do I assume correctly that this is the procedure that will be called for once I make my purchase?

Goto Mazda's website, they should have info on that. Also check the About screen in the navigation.

The Mazda website for my make and model is not operating. Therefore I came to your website. My Mazda dealership went with me to your website but I could not make a purchase off of the in-house computer network at the dealership.
If you could just answer my questions posed in my last message, I think I can move on and make a purchase. Please.

First, check the serial number from the About screen. You need the first 2 letters, goto the page verify that it's okay, then do the purchase. Assuming Mazda's website doesn't have your car's in-dash, maybe it's out of support.

There is no "About" screen at:
    the tomtom.com/en_gb/sat-nav/maps-service/shop/travel-map/usa page.
There is a download feature at your page:
I really need to be walked through this process. I do not trust myself to muddle through this process. I am serious about making the purchase. IS THERE A POSSIBILITY OF DOING A SCREEN SHARE?
    Let's make this happen!

    Solution found!

Do not buy from the TomTom Maps Shop.
TomTom has dedicated page for your Mazda's NB1 Live navigation system.

    Step 1: Download TomTom Home - http://uk.support.tomtom.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/7448/~/installing-tomtom-home

Step 2: Goto - https://www.tomtom.com/en_gb/in-dash-navigation/nb1-live/ - And buy the service you want (live services etc.)

Step 3: Login to your account in TomTom Home

Step 4: A panel right by the driver’s left knee houses a small SD card, remove it and connect it to your computer (while TomTom Home is open)

Step 5: Wait until TomTom Home recognizes the SD Card

Step 6: Click "Update My Device"

Follow on-screen instructions and wait until the process finishes.

Remove the SD Card and put it back into the car.
Turn on the car and done!

Thank you. I believe I was able to make a one time, free update. That makes sense because we were told that a one time free update would be available. We will need to take our Mazda over some newly completed road in order to confirm.
So I can't be sure we got this right; not yet. Just hope the update was not for Europe since we are USA / North America. Guess I can check that out next time we leave the driveway of our home in the car later this week.
