I have a TomTom device, when i check it in the system, it say it is “TomTom Go 520", but when i open MyDrive Connect App, it is listed as "TomTom Go Supreme".
I have google them and found they are different models, TomTom Go Supreme has built-in SIM but TomTom Go 520 doesn't have, correct?
But when i check in the system, just found Traffic and Speed Camera Updates are both un-activatived.
Why?

Hi @Winston818
The moment you attach your Wifi unit to the PC with My Drive Connect running it will show you the Update the Easy Way screen. The only way you can get to the page with the list of Devices in your account is if you have a non Wifi capable unit attached or no unit attached.
Both the units you have referred to are updated or have new items added and you don't need to use My Drive Connect except in very specific instances. Those special exceptions are if your Wifi is poor or you have no Wifi. It could be that you have an Health Issue which precludes you having Wifi at home in those situations you have your PC's wired to the router. So when you want to update without Wifi you connect the unit to the PC with MyDrive Connect running on it and Easy Way screen showing and use the menu options on the GO unit to manage downloading Updates etc. The PC is only source for the internet.
If you want o change the country do it when you have not got the GO unit attached.

Updating your new device over USB will require "MyDrive Connect"
Get it here..... https://uk.support.tomtom.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/12428
Install and Run MyDrive Connect
There's no need to login to MyDrive Connect... See Note... (1)
Connect your Device to a USB Port on your PC
The Update will hopefully complete
If you're using a Laptop it would be also more advisable to use a hard-wire connection back from the Laptop to the Router....

If required you can close the 'Main Mydrive Window' showing the "Connect your device using Wi-Fi" Splash screen... MyDrive Connect only needs to run in the background on the PC Taskbar... The NAV(5 Wi-Fi) devices have no access the MyDrive Menu structures as used by the previous NAV3 & 4 devices

Hi @Winston818
The GO Supreme does not have an inbuilt Mobile Sim. It is the Go Premium model without the inbuilt Sim sold in Countries like Asutralia which don’t have 2G.
The G520 is similar to the Go 5200 but without the sim
What country have you got shown at the bottom of the page you are looking at.

OK.
I am in Australia but the MDC app is set in Chinese language.
So now here's my questions:-
1) what's the different between Go 520 and GO Supreme?
2) are they the same model.
- If YES, why TomTom given them different names to make everyone confuse?
- If NO, then why it shows "GO 520” in device but it shows "GO Supreme" in MDC app?
Many thanks.

Hi @Winston818
Here is a link to the Australian page with details of the Supreme.
https://www.tomtom.com/en_au/drive/car/
Here is a link to the Australian GO520
https://www.tomtom.com/en_au/drive/car/
The Supreme has the IFTTT and a few other features which are at the bottom of the list .
The units are similar but not the same as the Supreme is a more recent model. They are basically very similar in that they have World Maps and update via Wifi. Sometimes the unit shows as a different model if the country at the bottom of the page is not your one. Re MDC can you not go into settings and change the country?

So now i am more confusing regarding the model of my device.
When i login MDC, the app shows what models TomTom devices i have, but When i connect my device to MDC, the app don't let me in actually, it says "your device has wifi for updating " something like that, see screenshots for details.
Re MDC can you not go into settings and change the country - how to do that?0 -
