Unauthorised subscription

Ben_CustomerBen_Customer Posts: 1 [New Traveler]
I've had a subscription to speed cameras started today. £2.99 was taken by TomTom. I haven't subscribed or given permission to take money from my account. There is NO CONTACT FOR TOMTOM AT ALL. I need to speak to someone urgently to make sure my bank account details haven't been stolen or how this has happened.

All subscriptions that end in 2020 will be auto-renewed directly. Customers will be charged directly for either Speed Cams, Live Services.

If a subscription ends in 2018, 2019 customers receive a 30 days notice to cancel. If they don't cancel within the 30 days, they will be charged monthly until they cancel the subscription via: https://www.tomtom.com/en_gb/account/details.html#my-subscriptions.

I've just received an email stating exactly the same. Money have been taken out of my account without any notice. I've never subscribed for that service. Tried my PayPal resolution but they refused to help. Can anyone look into this.

Hi , I updated my tomtom 600 couple of days back.
After the update, I cannot see any speed cameras in my tom tom.
Also I bought the speed camera subscription, but still I am not seeing any camera in tomtom.
Please let me know , how to resolve this problem.
    Regards
    Dhruv

    1. Cancel your ongoing subscription in "Subscriptions"

    2. Contact the support, preferably by chat, and ask for a refund. It will take a while (30 minutes in my case) from explaining the situation to finally receiving a confirmational email as they respond quite slowly so be prepared.

    3. If you want to be sure you won't get charged again, delete your bank card details. According to the person from support it goes more or less like this: "to do that, select any product and add it to your basket, on payment page, you shall find a tickbox to save payment details while payment, you can deselect the box to unsave your details". It worked for me.

I'm still not 100% sure if I won't get charged again "by accident". If so, I will contact my bank and block all payments from TomTom.
In case I don't get the requested refund I might ask my bank to undo the transaction(s) made.
