AmiGO in Switzerland

kipodikipodi Posts: 5 [Master Traveler]
It seems AmiGO is not available in Switzerland. I am aware that speed camera warning apps are illegal in Switzerland, but all the other features of AmiGo would nevertheless be useful also ins Switzerland. The TomTom Mobile Navigation app is subscription only and the interface is somewhat dated.

    Hi @kipodi

Is it not offered to you for download on App store? It is available, its just that we don't show speed cameras.

    Hi @kipodi

Thanks, for getting back to me! I just confirmed with my product team that the AmiGO app (iOS) in Switzerland is not available on the App Store to download, should be supported later this year.

    Regards, lampard

    Hi @lampard ,

Thanks - I am looking forward to this. Btw, the Swiss TomTom web page is misleading, posting download links to AmiGo, just to have the access refused. It might be a good idea to remove AmiGo from the Swiss website until it is actually available:

The app is still planned for Switzerland but I don't have any time frame.

I am currently navigating with the paid version of Tomtom Go. But I would like to switch to AmiGO soon, especially since Android Auto is now supported. It would be really nice if something happened soon ...

AmiGO appears to have issues when users drive into Switzerland with it. We need to fix these first. On the other hand we're currently rolling out GO Navigation 3.1 with Android Auto support.
