Hi,
For over a year i have not used my TomTom via135m because one day the gps just stopped working.
Now i finally got around to fixing it, reading up on why this issue exists (that gps week roll over whatever thing) and i updated my device fully. Yet, still nothing. Is there anyone form the support team that can help my with that? Free Lifetime maps and all don't do anything for me if the device is useless...

Hi @Lou-Kang
If the issue is your unit is not connecting to the satellites then try the following
Charge the unit for 2 hours or attach it to a power source whilst doing the following.
Turn the unit on and when ready to use Press and Hold the ON/OFF button for 20 seconds plus until you hear the Drumroll sound then let the button go.
Now go outside well away from buildings and trees etc until it has a clear view of the sky all around . Now create a route on it and when ready put the unit down for 30 minutes plus or until it has locked onto the satellites. It has been found that if you place it on a car roof it can find the satellites quicker . Whatever you do keep the unit in sight but with no obstruction stopping it seeing all the clear sky.
Once it has found the satellites it should find them quicker the next time meanwhile download any updates you are offered..

Hey Doug,
thanks for your help.
I'm charging it right now, and i'll try that tonight and get back here to let you know whether or not that solved the problem.0 -
All Hail to the rural life. Didn't work yesterday in the city, but i took it home with me and while i was out just now it finally found it's place in the universe again. ^^
