VIA 1535TM shows as a VIA 125 in MyDrive Connect — TomTom Community

VIA 1535TM shows as a VIA 125 in MyDrive Connect

Is this normal and, if so, why? I've had my VIA 1535TM since new for many years and it's still going strong, but recently I noticed that when I connect it to my computer with TomTom MyDrive Connect it shows up as an obsolete VIA 125. Same firmware or something like that? In previous versions of MyDrive Connect it showed up as what it is, a VIA 1535TM. I'm not exactly sure which SW update changed it, but it was a fairly recent version. Thanks to anyone who has any insight.

    Same model but different names depending on where the device was purchased- US, Europe, Asia-Pacific, etc.

    The name will be displayed depending on what language interface is selected in MyDrive Connect(settings)

    same here. i got a via 1625 but shows as via 125. purchased mine in the US. Is tomtom withdrawing lifetime map update. i checked the list of affected devices but via 1625 is not listed.

    My Tom Tom Via 125 (used to be VIA 1535 or somethinng like that) is saying map not found. Tried to update it many times and when it says all done, OK to disconnect, then it simply says no map found. I have a 8GB micro SD card that has worked previously without any issues. Has Tomtom withdrawn support? Now i am unable to use my GPS. Can someone help?

    Welcome to the community! I don't see the device was purchased with lifetime maps.
    If you bought it with lifetime maps then please get in touch with our customer service. They might need some additional information before activating the services.
