New rider550 installed maps?
1.....I cannot find exactly what countries are in the factory installed Oceania map. Where is a map ?
2..... If i only need Auatralia, should i uninstall Oceania, install Autralia?...tbis leaves room for Europe then.
3...... I keep getting prompts to update maps that arenot installed? Why?

SuperusersI have checked it on my device. It seems that only Australia and Newzeeland is on the map.

SuperusersHi
@David_Harrisson
Welcome to the site....
The Rider 550 has 16GB of onboard memory the full Europe Map is 9.46GB the Oceania Map is 677MB
The World Lifetime maps are/will always be available from your Tomtom Cloud Account to be installed/deleted as required....
Its best NOT to stuff your Rider 550 full of map as the device uses some of the onboard memory as working space (The bare minimum working space is 400MB) but the more free space the faster and more stable the device will operate
If you rarely/never use/need a particular Map whats the point of installing it....

There indeed other maps like south east asia already facrory installed which is why i am being prompted to update. There is not enough room to installthe updates so a memory card is required ?

I mostly read and help in the German Forum area. Every now and then I am also in the English area
The Rider 550 is a device with world maps. You do not need to buy Maps from other countrys. If you should buy other Maps, then your device is not linked correct to the servers of tomtom.
please then try to contact the support via Mail or chat as here mentioned.
