I have GO Premium 6 X but I have not found a way to navigate with the map on the device.
Is that possible at all?
On the old GO 950 navigator, it was possible and I used it often.
I also use the navigator when I go to pick berries, but there are no addresses on the forest roads

Hi @MJH48
If you move the map around on the screen until you have your friends location showing then Press your finger on the position for about a second or so until a Black Marker will appear with a menu showing with a selection of options. Select drive to or you could elect it as a stop on a route you already have on the unit. If the menu doesn't appear with the Black Marker then Tap the Marker and it should appear.
See page 119 of the Manual.

Hi
@MJH48(Snip)
The default view at Start-up without a route planned is normally the North-Up overview Planning Map
Pinch Zoom and Swipe the screen to the required location
'Long Tap' (Tap and hold for +1 second) on the required location --> A quick menu opens --> Tap the ( Drive ) Icon... The device will calculate your route to your new destination
Note... (1) A 'Quick Tap' and 'Long Tap' of the screen gives different menu options
Note.. (2) In the Quick menu if you tap the 3Dot menu there are more options available
(Snip)Hi YamFazMan.
Sorry this is not answer my question
I mean, I want to choose where I want to go on the map of navigator .
I also want to navigate without addresses, for example, an unnamed road to a friend’s cottage
I can do it with my Tomtom GO950, but I couldn't find a way to do it with my GO Premium 6X
Both Doug's and My explanation of the method used, are identical ???Hi @MJH48

There is how adding a stop to your route using the map.
There don't tell how you can plan route to point of map

Not sure what you mean to do. You certainly can use the device without entering a destination to see what roads are around you. Or you can search for a business name or an address or even the Lat/Lon coordinates of a destination. And in some cases you can see more generic things, such as petrol stations in the area.
But with new devices you can't have it show you every business of a particular type in the area (except for parking or petrol/charging stations). So you can't ask for every school, or every airport. But that said, you CAN load your own list of places which you can obtain from elsewhere and have them show on your map.2 -
Hi
@MJH48
If you drive 3D or 2D Rotate in Direction of Travel...
Just Tap the + sign screen left to the an few times to the required Zoom level
To Drive 2D North-up... Tap the direction of Travel Icon above the + sign
Tap the + sign screen left to the an few times to the required Zoom level
See Copy&Paste from a previous post of mine....Out today... Using my GO 520, I drove around without route planned
Using the 2D, 3D and the North up Overview Maps
In all three Modes, the device warned of.....
Exceeding the Speed Limit
Fixed Speed cameras
Mobile Speed camera Hot Spots
Average speed camera zones (Motorway)
I can't see any reason why.....
Approaching Stationary Queuing Traffic
Red Light Camera... Wouldn't also Show
Any 3rd Party POI you have loaded and set to display on the Map... All display the Tomtom generic Icon OK

Hi
@MJH48
You cannot Pan/Scroll the Driving view screen, you can only zoom the Driving view screen
You have to switch to the Planning Overview screen to Pan/Scroll the screen

If you repeat tap on the Direction of Travel Icon, above the + and - Signs
the display will toggle between the North-up Overview Planning Map and the Driving Map view chosen in the Setting menus i.e... 2D (In direction of travel) or 3D
The direction of Travel Icon is thinner more pointed in the 2D in direction of travel or 3D Driving view
The sequence as I see it....
I'm driving using my chosen driving view in the Setting Menus...
For me 2D (In direction of Travel)
1st Tap --> North-up Overview planning Map
2nd Tap --> 2D (Indirection of Travel) Max Zoom ???
3rd Tap --> Return to my chosen driving view (2D (In direction of Travel) Normal Zoom

Sorry YamFazMan
Your story was too long and I couldn’t find the crux of it.
I'm a simple man, so the thing must be to keep it simple
All I needed from your story was this.Zoom and Swipe the screen to the required location
'Long Tap' (Tap and hold for +1 second) on the required location --> A quick menu opens --> Tap the ( Drive ) Icon... The device will calculate your route to your new destination
Thanks anyway1
