update issue

when I tried to update my with the mydrive app the software keeps trying to restore the unit. and will not connect unit seems to be working ok other than the other day the screen kept flashing when I was trying to go somewhere so I just unplugged it and decided to try to update it since it had been a while since it had been updated. any ideas why it wont connect. I have tried several different usb cables including the factory one to no avail

    Welcome to the community!

    Disconnect the device and do a soft reset


    On your computer download the HOME3 folder located at-

    C:\Users\User name\AppData\Local\TomTom\
    [Username of your computer ]

    Now connect the device and check for updates.
