Has anyone found/bought/made an adapter so when you're not using the SatNav you can use the installed cable to charge your phone?

Thanks. This would work, but it's just too big. I don't want extra stuff on the handlebars. I am after a simple cable extension with conversion.

I don't know where you can buy the connector TomTom uses for the mount.

So it will be hard to build your own adapter using 12V to 5V converter whiteout buying an extra mount.

Probably it wil be easier to use a SAE to USB adapter and a new SAE cable (normally used for motorcycle battery chargers)

Ore create a miniature DIN cigarette lighter plug on your bike and buy a corresponding USB adapter (many BMW bikes use this connector)

Hey, thanks again. This is a better idea. I was just trying to "streamline" the cabling.
I may try to get a converter from the battery charger port as you mentioned.
    Thanks.
