Why is TomTom charging me for maps when it's meant to be Free Maps For Life?

    Hopefully @VikramK may be able to see if your device was sold with lifetime maps and make any adjustments necessary to your account.

    It is difficult at the moment with people working from home and the phone line customer support currently suspended.

    Have a look back here tomorrow.

    Thank you for your answer.

    Inside the box it has a congratulations leaflet that says, "Your device comes with free Lifetime Maps". So I assume I should have. I shall return tomorrow!

    Yes this is a difficult time for everyone.

    I can confirm that I have the latest maps available to download on to my TomTom SatNav.

    I reviewed the device subscriptions in the background (device serial number ending 084), I don't see the device is factory embedded with lifetime maps.
    If you bought the device with lifetime maps, then please contact our customer service. They might need some additional information before activating the services.
