I'm a senior citizen not using my car very frequently. I have to remove Tom Tom from the car to recharge manually before going out. Is this normal?

    Hi
    @Fat Controller
    Welcome to the site....
    Which Tomtom device/model do you own
    On most models there are two 'Offs'
    (1) Sleep... The screen display is off but device is still ticking over
    (Not really off)
    (2) Turned off... The device is really turned off

    How old is the device all batteries deteriorate over time....
    One of the worst things you can do to a Lithium battery is to run it down to flat....
