Unable to access maps since update on Home

Hi,
I have a Tom Tom One IQ Routes, which is no longer supported.
It has (had) UK and US maps until yesterday, when I plugged it into my PC and into Tom Tom Home where I downloaded the updates that were available, to fix a clock that was stuck on 12am.
Since then, both maps do not open - "problem with map" is displayed.
I did not have a back up before this occurred.
I have no maps and no way to retrieve them. I'm currently removing the maps from the device and onto the PC and back onto the device to see if that does anything, but that is so slow, especially with the US map.
The good news is the clock is fixed!

Can you advise please.

    The UK maps just appeared on the update screen and has now been successfully loaded. Now just waiting to see if the US map appears also
