My two tomtoms 6000/6200 cannot pick up gps signal

The GPS signal cannot penetrate the window screen of my M A N lorry, I know there are three reasons why this may occur and I do not know which one it is; although there is no window screen deicer / heater button on the dash. I have tried a signal booster but it seems to make little difference. Is there any way of modifying my 6000 so that I can attach an external antenna or any other idea you may have to resolve my problem.

Welcome to the site...
Does your Lorry have a Metallized Windscreen (Heat reflecting metallic coating) ???

Also the stray RF interference from some cheap....
(1)... Screen Cams
(2)... Dedicated Speed Camera detectors
(3)... Toll collecting devices will kill a GPS signal

Is this the Re-radiating GPS transmitter that you are using....

Yes it is the re-radiating GPS transmitter, in fact the one on the link is the same one I purchased.
I'm pretty sure the windscreen has a metallic coating. The 6000 worked perfectly well before I had a screen replacement.
Any help is much appreciated
