external cardio monitor doesn't recognized by the watch

My tom tom runner is not able to connect to the external cardio monitor. I did it several times in the past, but now, fore more than a month I was not able to connect it anymore.
I already have changed the monitor's battery.
This situation also happened several times in the past, but after I removed the battery and let the equipment without it a couple of days it was possible to connect again, but not now.

    Try a factory reset of the watch (and the monitor if that is possible) to clear any pairing codes and then try again. Make sure you have not paired it with any other devices (like a phone) or they can steal the signal (it is a one-to-one relationship so once one devices sees it, the others can't). If so either unpair from them or get out of range.

    Thanks for the answer. I've tried the factory reset for the watch and it didn't solve. How can I make the factory reset on the external monitor?
