GO 5200 screen turns black

Same problems with my device. The screen turns black, recovers, “are you driving to home” message, route screen and some seconds later same story. Screens turns black etc. Device has latest application and maps. Since some months. If anyone has a solution please leave a message.

    Welcome to the site....
    Check the free memory space on the device....
    400 MB is considered the bare minimum Free Space the more Free Space the faster the device will operate....
    Tap 4Dot (.... Menu) --> Setting --> System --> About... Scroll down Free Space...

    Predictive destinations (On by default)
    That sounds like Predictive destinations, I turned mine off, I found I was cancelling many more suggestions than I was accepting....

    More Info About Destination Prediction

    Tap 4Dot (.... Menu) --> Setting --> System --> Route planning... Slide the 'Suggest destinations' slide switch to the left (Off)

    Tap 4Dot (.... Menu) --> Setting --> System --> Your information & privacy... Slide the 'Keep journey history' slide switch to the left (Off)

    Another plus, I find the device more responsive with Predictive destinations turned off... Maybe its not having the device at every journey comparing date/day/time against its destination database and not having the free space being filled up with stored destinations
