I have a model 720 which is very old. It still works but I wouild like to update the maps. I do not see any for that model and was wondering if another model update will work on it.

Hi @massct
The GO720 with serial numbers starting M6 or M9 were declared obsolete in January 2018 and from that date no further updates would be issued and no new maps would be available for purchase.
Should your unit have been sold with lifetime map updates or you still have a valid paid subscription for maps then these would be honoured.

why were the GO 720 declared obsolete as the unit will take a memory card mine has a 32gb card and can access all of the card

Hi @pav33
@YamFazMan referred you to the TT statement on the other post you have made elsewhere asking the same question.
The statement includes reference to the operating software which by the way must go on an units internal memory which you have stated in your case is limited to 2gb. It has to also be born in mind that the operating software needs a recommended minimum of 400mb of free space on the internal memory for operational purposes.
The units declared obsolete are generally those with 2gb of internal memory or less many with no means of adding extra memory.
