I cannot install Mydrive connect on my work laptop because I don't have admin rights and my tablet is a Microsoft Surface which is a useless pile of carp which doesn't have a Mydrive app available!!
MyDrive Connect is the only possibility to update your GO40. And you must use a PC user account with administrator rights to install it. No other choice.
Your Microsoft Surface uses Windows OS, install MDC software for Windows on it. There is no App equivalent to MDC.

To connect to your Microsoft Surface with your TomTom device, deactivate USB Selective Suspend.
