Memory card

Pieter-6Pieter-6 Posts: 4 [Apprentice Seeker]
After the last update I cannot load all the maps I wanted for my holiday. The memory is insufficient.
I know my ToTom Rider is old (has no outside accessible card) but is it possible to open him up and replace the memory card (4Gb) by a bigger one?
If yes, is there a procedure for it?
Thanx in advance

I think you have the TomTom Uraban Rider.
This comes with 2GB of soldered memory.

So it is close to impossible to add more memory.

The older Rider V1 and V2 use an SD Card. SD Card have a maximum capacity of 2GB. (Bigger Cards are called SDHC)

Even if you solder on new memory I am afraid it is still SD Card based and max 2GB.

The new TomTom Rider 550 has 16GB internal memory and you can add a 16GB microSD card. (some users even report bigger card working on there Rider 550 but you really do not need more memory. I only use the internal memory)
