Go Premium

Could somebody please help me I have just purchased a brand-new TomTom GO premium I have charged it as requested but for some reason it starts up and shuts down and this is all he’s doing. I have done a hard reset which makes no difference I believe there is a way of reinstalling the software not sure how to do this.
I am returning the item back to the store which I bought it from and hopefully the new one will not have this problem.
