The live traffic on my Tom Tom device no longer works. It only works when connected to the WiFi hub in the house. As soon as I leave the house I loose internet connection as the connection via Bluetooth no longer works any ideas how to fix this??
I have already tried setting up a hotspot connection between my device and my phone. When connecting the phone just says saved instead of connected. I think this device is faulty.
Charge the device for at least 2Hrs "OR" have the device plugged into a power supply
Press and hold the on/off button until you hear a drum-roll sound then release the on/off button.
You won’t lose anything; it’s just like rebooting your PC
I use a Soft/drum-roll start after any upgrade large or small.
It’s also useful to keep in mind for sorting out most minor niggles......
Try setting up the Hotspot connection when out of range of your Wifi. Also try turning the device on out of range of the Wifi. I have got mine to connect to a Mifi when the inbuilt Sim could not connect and successfully got Traffic data.
Mine doesn’t have the SIM card but is supposed to connect to live traffic through my phones data however it won’t connect to it. I have tried to reset the device multiple times and still nothing so I will be binning the device and purchasing a non Tom Tom device
I assume you may have an IPhone and have updated it to IOS 13 which is when connection issues have started. Anyone with IOS12 still on the phone is Okay. If you look on this forum you will see where the suggestion to connect via a Hotspot has been successful.
I have tried to connect the device via hot spot when ever I do it it just comes up as saved. It won’t actually connect to my phones WiFi hotspot so I don’t think there is anything else I can do.

If your phone has a hotspot facility try connecting to that and see if that works.
