GO 520 WiFi Blue Tooth connection to Samsung Galaxy S8 fails to work. — TomTom Community

GO 520 WiFi Blue Tooth connection to Samsung Galaxy S8 fails to work.

My GO 520 Wifi used to connect to my Samsung Galaxy S8 Bluetooth and worked very well.

Now the TomTom states device not in range.

Do away with the stupid QR code which the mobile has to scan and use a simple Bluetooth connection that works.

I also have a SUPERTOOTH BTDH Bluetooth (hands free) which connects to my Galaxy S8 without fail every time. I will not buy another TomTom GPS until this is fixed.

NAVMAN have an excellent car GPS navigator.

    Hi @Tassie Devil

I would recommend that you try a few steps as below-

    1. Factory reset- Main menu- Settings- System- Reset device (Please back up your saved places and routes using MyDrive web )

    2. Delete Bluetooth pairing on the smartphone-
    - Go to the Home screen
    - Access the Apps folder
    - Tap on the Settings app
    - Select the Bluetooth icon
    - A list of paired devices will open up on the screen
    - Tap the gear icon next to it
    - Tap the Decoupling option in the next sub-menu

    3. Start with a fresh pairing- See video below:

    Regards

The QR code is a shortcut but you don't have to use it. You can pair devices without it.
