Are there any plans to replace the Search functionality in Tomtom Go with the one from MyDrive?
I’m struggling to find anything in the Go app. The Search function in MyDrive A app is much simple and much better at finding things that aren’t addresses

Hi @TheCoolCoyote
Re the search facility on the CarPlay Screen that has just become available in Go Navigator App I have found it quite good so far so I would be interested in what difficulties you are experiencing.
It finds UK Postcodes including the exact house if you follow the Postcode with the House number.
It finds Businesses like McDonalds by entering the name and if you want to find the business in a particular town then you enter the Town name then the Business name such as Congleton Mc Donalds. Other Restaurants are available.
It finds Mapcodes which I find useful as well as they can pinpoint a position such as a parking Slot in a Car Park. Interestingly I have the UK , French and Spanish maps on my phone and if I enter the Mapcode DH.FX it finds the positions in UK and France that have that mapcode. If I enter ESP DH.FX it gives me the Spanish position.

Hi @TheCoolCoyote
Welcome to the community and sorry for the late reply.
I don't think the search functionality will get replaced on the GO Navigation app, the algorithm resembles what we use on our PND's.
I link to the user guide here
Are there some examples you want to share that you can't find in the app?
Regards

Thanks both. The search function seems to have improved significantly with the latest app update.0

I believe there's a search setting: 'Near Me' or 'Nearby' which will also narrow things down for you.0

Hi @Panoptes
The options of "Near Me" , and "Nearby" are available if you are using the App on the Phone. The possibility to input Long/Lat is also an Option when using the App on the Phone however those 3 options are not available to select when using the new option to Search when in CarPlay Mode. Maybe that will come at some time in a future update.

Thanks. I assumed that setting that option on the iPhone would translate to the CarPlay interface. Much catching up to do, TomTom have.0
