You can turn on Orientation Lock to prevent this. Turning on Orientation Lock also makes your Rider more Stable.
.... Menu -> Settings -> Appearance -> Display - Turn ON Orientation Lock

During a planed ride, I often use both positions, horizontal i city. vertical in countryside.
Often when driving in the city, the picture suddenly rotate = Very annoying.

I mean when you mount the device on the bike, the more you tilt the screen away from vertical towards being horizontal, the more likely the screen is to rotate (Not Rotating the Mount to Landscape or Portrait)....
I have read that if the Mount is severely vibrating, this can also cause the screen to rotate
