navigation device fails to update

Trying to update navigation device via Mydrive Connect and several problems occur. Firstly claims internet is not connected when it is, then claims that about five updates can be updated when a 'Nav core update' is first installed. Cannot find anything about the 'Nav core update' and cannot install it, and of course then cannot update the updates. The Mydrive Connect seems to loop around endlessly. None of the website material is at all helpful. Has the tom tom site been hacked or is there a defect in the updates. Very unimpressed with the hours wasted on this.
