How to install GPS fix

I have 2 XXL world editions which are no longer supported. They still work fine but i need a GPS fix. The TomTom home software shows no update option.

I have a lifetime maps on TomTom Start 40 2012, but I need the GPS fix and I am trying to download TomTomHome Version 2.11 (Winlatest), it cannot be launched as no .exe located.

I have an old tomtom xl model n14644. I can only get 2 bars on the gps signal bar and occasionally 3 bars . On 2 bars I get some strange displays. Is there a way of getting a gps fix on such an old device now that tom tom will not do this? Thanks

Search Google for "TomTom QuickGPSfix Update Tool v1.2"
then you do not need TT_Home anymore
