The My Drive Connect software is the current equivalent of the old Tomtom Home software which is used to keep the Devices up to date. As you appear to have a GO520 Wifi then you do not need a PC to update your device unless your Wifi download speed is slowish.. Tomtom suggest that you need a download speed of 30mbs however you will probably get away with a little less. If it is slow then you connect the device to a PC with the My Drive Connect software on it and running you then use the menu on the GO520 to do the updates and only use the PC as the connection to the Internet. There are certain other situations where you would need to connect to a PC but these are for very specific reasons which today I have never had to employ.
The My Drive Website is the way to connect to your Tomtom Account which can have a number of Tomtom Devices associated with it and where you can add Poi or Route files which you would like dded to your devices on the account. It is also a route creating facility where you are able to create a route and either send it to your device or save the route in your account and then sync the Route to your devices My Routes Folder.
Here is a video which shows you how to add Poi's etc
If you have added a Poi file to your account via the My Drive Website then it should appear on your device when you Tap the My Places Icon on the Go 520 and you scroll down. This is provided that your GO 520 is logged into My Drive which you can check if you Tap Menu/Settings/My Drive and if it is connected it will say Stop Syncing bottom Right. If it is showing Stop Syncing then don't tap that as that will break. the connection to your account. The device should be connected to My Drive if it is connect4ed to your Wifi or you have linked your Phone by Bluetooth or the Phones Hotspot.

OK, it worked for a while a couple days ago. Now it does not. I am logged into both My Drive and MyDrive Connect and my TomTom selected. I have the TomTom connect to the computer via USB (no, I am not interested in Wifi or blue tooth). I go to MyDrive on the device, click on "using USB", and am faced with instructions I already know. No log in screen, and no POIs being sent to the device.
In my opinion there should only be ONE area to log into. Once the device is registered, and you are logged into the website, downloads should be instantaneous. TomTom as a company could do much better. The concept and device are good, execution leaves Much to be desired.

Does this mean I am connected or was there an error? If there was an issue connecting, the page should say so.
Thanks YamFazMan for the list of MyDrive applications.
