Hi, I need to update my go720 with a new model, I have read that the go620 will only take poi’s up to 2 meg in size. I have poi’s stored on the 720 up to 15meg, what’s the best replacement model, thanks

    Hi @Bcl

I am amazed that you have POI files that are 15mb. Yes the limit that you can add is 2mb.

The reason I am amazed is that the Speed Camera file that TT provide to cover all the cameras throughout Europe (45 countries) is currently 5.5mb. What files have you got that are that big. I have POI files I have added which have 100’s of positions and they are significantly less than 1gb

I have files that we use in the utility sector, power poles, and they worked beautifully on the 720, what model will now take these size files, thanks

The size of the file I’m guessing is only limited by tomtom firmware. . That could be why they are all changing to garmin , I will have to also :'(
