Tomtom 1535TM end of life?

I've just updated my 1535TM and got the message "TomTom has stopped selling map updates and other services for this device. Your trusted device will still work perfectly but you will no longer be able to buy any new services".
See the attached screenshot.
The 1535 isn't listed as obsolete: https://www.tomtom.com/en_us/obsolete-products/#car
Anyone know what's going on?

I had a Go 730 which Tomtom stopped supporting some time ago but it didn't use MyDrive Connect to update the maps. I only updated the 1535 this time and you can see 'Via 1535 US' on the screen shot (top left).0

I don't think my previous units were tied to an account. I only opened the account in May of last year. The 730 didn't have lifetime maps and I kept putting off buying a new one and then it was too late.0
