It`s telling me to turn before i even get to the turn, well before the turn. It also sends me the wrong direction. I keep my maps up to date but that dosent help?...
If you have not tried these already then I would start by doing a Soft reset. Ie When the unit is on ready to work Hold the On/Off button down for about 20 + seconds until you hear the drum roll sound then let the button go. The unit will restart.
If that does not solve the problem then next option is a Factory Reset.
Tap Menu (4 dots)
Tap Settings
Tap System
Tap Reset Device.
You will lose all you data ie Favourites, (My Places), and any POI and Route file added to the device. if the data is backed up on your account which you can log in on the My Drive Website then you can sync the data back to the unit after the rest. The Operating Software and Maps versions will not be affected by the Reset.
If that does not resolve the problem then a call to customer services is the next step.

Is the device concerned the Start 42 you have commented on before?
Can you give us more information on what you are doing and what the unit is doing. An example if possible.
